Multi branching variety with creamy lemon yellow blooms and dark centres. This is a special sunflower with lots of smaller, very pretty blooms. The pale lemon yellow colour deepening towards the centre which is a dark brown add a delicate touch as a cut flower and in bouquets. It makes a great garden plant too as it flowers over a long time.

A delightful sight in any garden or allotment and an excellent crop for attracting beneficial pollinators into your space. ‘Miss Jekylls’ captivating blooms are perfection in borders for cut flower arrangements and after the pods swell and dry the edible seeds can be harvested utilising the attractive seed head for dry flower crafts.
This delightful annual has stood the test of time amongst garden designers, its is after all named after one of the greatest female garden designers of the 19th century whose influence is still very much alive in modern garden design today.

Plump round bean with purple marbled pods best enjoyed half-dry . If this bean was grown in the Cotes d’Amor region of Brittany, it would be called Coco di Paimpol. With a creamy nutty flavour this Haricot bean is traditionally sold at French markets demi-sec in pods and enjoyed in hot and cold dishes.
We received a packet of seeds in the post from one of our customers with a note saying that they had been saving their own seed from this variety for over 6 years since they lived in Brittany.
Best harvested when the beans in the pods are fully formed and semi-ripe. It freezes really well, avoiding the need for
soaking overnight if dried. Great as a warm salad or in casseroles.

The Hopi Black Sunflower is a heirloom variety stewarded by the Hopi people who used it’s dye in fabrics for basketry. A new variety bred and grown at Stormy Hall in North Yorkshire using the Biodynamic growing method. Purple flowering sugar pea with thick-walled edible pods of excellent flavour. Grows 160-180 cm tall. Sohara is preforming well in dry as well in wet years. Pods stay sweet and edible for a extended time on the plant. It also can be sown in a green house or tunnel from November for an early crop.
