Extremely productive red cherry tomato bred for its fine flavour. We consider this a farm-original variety as we have done extensive improvement on the original. We have been stabilising the line for 5 years and it’s now ready to send out into the world!
The plants have been selected each year for the best flavour and excellent productivity. Despite the name, the fruits don’t taste of mango – Mango Lassi was named after a volunteer’s impression of the flavour, and the name has stayed. We hope you enjoy it. Fast maturing carrot perfect for early sowings. Originally from France but grown in this country for decades as a kitchen garden favourite, this is a classic carrot variety of the half-long type. Reaching up to 17cm in length and 3-4 cm in diameter, it is a sweet, bright orange, blunt, cylindrical root, round at the top and bottom. It has fine texture and delicate flavour with almost no core. It is ideal for early sowings but can delight you with a tasty crop throughout the year as well.
The perfect all-rounder, that does well as bunching carrot, juiced, sautéd, frozen, grated into a salad or just straight from the ground which is when we think they taste the best.

This cucumber is amazing, a new favourite, prized for an outstanding sweet flavour, delicious juiciness and crisp, crunchy texture.
Known for its vigorous growth and productivity, this variety makes dark green long and slender fruits. They are mostly straight (when trellised) and uniform with an occasional curve. It is the flavour that is so extraordinary sweet, almost floral and so delicious throughout the season like no other cucumber we’ve tasted. A beautiful crunch and no bitterness even when harvested on the ripe side or towards the end of the season.
Shintokiwa is valued for its disease resistance, a fine choice for the greenhouse as well as outside.

The classic spring onion. Long white stems with bright green tops, suitable for both spring/summer cultivation as well as over-wintering. This is traditionally the most popular variety of spring onion, and an essential addition to the veg patch. Quick, hardy and easy to grow. Its speed of growth makes it ideal for catch-cropping and year-round cultivation, with its small size meaning it can be easily squeezed into unused corners of the garden.
Spring onions are an extremely versatile culinary ingredient. Delicious both cooked and raw, they are a staple of our diet!

Lila Lu is a purple carrot on the outside with a vibrant orange interior, sweet and crunchy. This is a modern European breed specifically developed for organic growing conditions. It has a crunchy texture and pleasantly sweet taste, the purple pigmentation is attributed to a higher levels of the potent antioxidant ‘anthocyanin’ alongside the usual beta carotene that orange carrots offer. Carrots have been bred since the 10th century in Asia, whilst we have come to know carrots in their orange standard, their ancestors were yellow and purple, we appear to have come full circle with this ‘new’ variety.

The classic basil variety, very productive, aromatic and perfect for all culinary uses, especially pesto. With large bright green leaves and a smell to die for this is an essential addition to the veg plot. We think you cannot grow too much basil, we use it in almost every meal throughout the summer months. Genovese makes the most superb pesto, aromatic without being overpowering and giving us a much needed taste of sunshine when stored or frozen and then eaten throughout the winter months.
A robust, trustworthy variety of ‘The King of Herbs’ with the perfect balance of aroma and subtlety. It is an essential companion to tomatoes.

A beautiful chard mix of red, pink, orange, yellow and white stalks with contrasting green and maroon leaves. Harvested as baby leaf in less than 6 weeks. Both the tender leaves and stalks are easy to fry, steam, blanch or add to an omelette. This variety of chard is less hardy and doesn’t handle frost as well, so best not relied on as your only winter green.

It won the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit in 1993 which was reconfirmed in 2005 and is one of the most widely used peas of its kind.

A refreshing herb typically used in South Asian and South American cooking. This high-yielding variety is excellent for flavouring curries, stews, rice dishes and as a garnish for soup and in salsa. All parts of the soft, light stems and leaves can be used. The flowers grow in pretty umbels, and if left to seed, the small seed heads can be used fresh or dried and used in cooking for added flavour and texture.

As British reggae artist Macka B makes clear in his ode to ‘Cocombers’ (see youtube for reference) the humble cucumber has many a good reason to grow and eat it. The Marketmore variety produces luscious, cylindrical, dark green fruits and does so in abundance throughout the summer. It grows well in both poor and rich soil conditions and will ensure you are full of good electrolytes for the rest of the year.
