When to sow: March – August
Spacing: 10 x 20 cm
Summer Purslane tips: Purslane is easy to grow and germinates when soil temperatures are between around 18°C. Sow indoors from March until June or outdoors when all danger of frost is over, from late May to August.
Sow the seeds in modules to transplant or broadcast onto the moist soil and rake in gently. They need light to germinate, keep well watered. The seeds usually germinate in up to 10 days. Thin the seedlings to final spacing after plants have emerged. Avoid overwatering!
