Red autumn and winter cabbage with a dense head and medium-good storage qualities. Rodynda is a variety bred specifically for organic conditions. It is vigourous and short-stemmed and forms dense, elliptical heads. It has strong outer leaves and solid root growth. The particularly sweet and aromatic flavour makes it perfect for a coleslaw and it performs brilliantly in a classic braised red cabbage dish cooked with apples and onions.

Creamy white disc-shaped fruits with a scalloped edge and fine flavour. The plants with a bushy growth habit make delicious flying saucer shaped fruits, 6 – 7 cm in diameter that are classed as summer squash (don’t store for more than 1-2 weeks). The skin of this variety is white and its flesh cream coloured and delicately flavoured. They are best harvested when young, this will encourage the plants to make lots more fruits too.

£2.60 Read moreNapa Cabbage – Jeju Island (Organic) ***NEW FOR 2026***
Originally from Jeju island, perfect for making kimchi or adding to stews and soups. The seeds of this line came from a farmer from Jeju Island, the volcanic island on the Southern part of Korea. This is a heritage Chinese cabbage variety, also called “Gueok” or “Gueokbeachu”. The plants grow well in our climate, making compact, slightly elongated heads with a cream coloured heart reaching up to 2kg. The flavour is mild yet typical Chinese cabbage with a twist of Indian mustard. It’s traditionally used to make kimchi as well as other Korean dishes such as Gochujang (cabbage soup) or Ssam (cabbage wrap).

An Italian heirloom herb with succulent, aromatic leaves and delicate edible white/pink campion-like flowers. Also known as Sculpit, the leaves have a complex flavour profile much like a mixture of tarragon, chicory and rocket. They are an ideal addition raw in a salad or cooked in risottos, soups or omlettes. Pretty addition to the flower garden, too.

£2.10 Add to basketCima Di Rapa – 150 days (Organic) ***NEW FOR 2026***
Slow growing variety, also known as rapini or broccoli rabe. This variety is ready to harvest within 150 days and can be grown all year round, although best sown April-May. It is slower to make heads and bolt than San Marzano, making it slightly easier to grow.
Prized as a delicacy in Italy for its sweet and slightly bitter taste, cima di rapa translates as ‘turnip greens’, the plants produce large serrated edible leaves much like a turnip and delicate flowering florets. The leaves, stems and florets can all be eaten.

Beetroot – Boltardy (Organic)
Price range: £2.33 through £3.95 Add to basket This product has multiple variants. The options may be chosen on the product pageBeetroot – Boltardy (Organic)
A classic all-purpose beetroot, well suited to early sowings as a result of its excellent resistance to bolting. Boltardy is a winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit and has a well earned reputation for being a real ‘workhorse’ variety. Many large scale growers choose this variety over its modern hybrid cousins for early sowings. We love it as it does exactly what is says on the tin.
