Extremely sweet pointed red onion sought after by chefs around the world. This is probably Italy’s most famous onion. It comes from the Tropea region which has the perfect climate for onion growing.
The pointed pink bulbs have a very high sugar content making them perfect for caramelising. Indeed some say they are so sweet you can eat them like apples! Each to their own, but you get the point…

The Hopi Black Sunflower is a heirloom variety stewarded by the Hopi people who used it’s dye in fabrics for basketry. Easy to grow and with a branching stems that can also be used for cutting, this variety is a wonderful addition to the dye and ornamental garden. Growing up to 3m in height with spectacular large flower heads, the seeds can be harvested to produce a beautifully rich dark purple dye.

A delightful minature version of pak choi, Baby Choi is perfect for those seeking a quick and tender Asian green. This versatile brassica offers a mild, sweet flavour with a satisfying crunch, making it ideal for stir-fries, salads and steamed as a side dish. Ready to harvest in just 30 days after planting (50 days after sowing), it can be picked as a whole plant or leaf by leaf for prolonged harvests. Classic early salad tomato producing an abundance of delicious light red fruits. Matina is a potato leaf variety which crops well both under cover and outdoors. The fruits are golf-ball sized (40-45g) and ripen early in the season. The flavour is a delicious combo of sweet and acid. A firm favourite in the veg patch.

A new variety bred and grown at Stormy Hall in North Yorkshire using the Biodynamic growing method. Purple flowering sugar pea with thick-walled edible pods of excellent flavour. Grows 160-180 cm tall. Sohara is preforming well in dry as well in wet years. Pods stay sweet and edible for a extended time on the plant. It also can be sown in a green house or tunnel from November for an early crop.

A French heritage shallot of mild and sweet taste. With their elongated bulbs and their creamy brown colour tinged with a deep pink, this shallot looks as elegant as it tastes. It has an ivory white coloured flesh that is crisp and tightly layered.
Zebrune is classed as a ‘banana shallot’ which is essentially a cross between an onion and a shallot. It inherited the best qualities from both sides. They are larger than the regular shallot and therefore easier to handle but so mild and fragrant in taste that is far superior to any onion.
We loved every stage of growing this one, it’s a very pleasing crop and adds a French finesse and aroma to any meal.

A beautiful and early salmon-pink radicchio variety forming loose heads from October. This one is a real show-stopper! A really unique radicchio making the most exquisitely pink leaves unlike no other leafy veg we have grown before.
‘Jolanda’ is an early selection of Rosa (which often tends to be a later-cropping type) so it’s much better suited to the UK climate.

A yellow rooted variety which is fast growing and produces beautiful, long and cylindrical roots. Yellowstone carrots have a delicate, sweet flavour and they cook just as well as their orange siblings, adding that extra rainbow colour to any plate of food. And of course delicious raw with lots of crunch. They produce large foliage which is reflected in the often large root that is growing beneath the ground.

Gruffuthii’s striking lime-green foliage makes it a favourite for adding contrast and interest in borders and bouquets. The euphorbia-like stems are an excellent addition to the cut flower garden with a long vase life. It produces useful foliage from July – October with delicate flower heads that provide a perfect backdrop to other brightly coloured blooms.
