Meadowsweet is a hardy perennial plant and medicinal herb with highly aromatic flowers in early to mid summer. Known for being a flavour in traditional mead as well as being the origin of salicylic acid, the active ingredient in aspirin, meadowsweet is usually indicated in digestive conditions. The plants grow to around 1.2m tall in the sun and with a moist to average soil.

Spacing: 50x50cm

Elecampane tips: Direct outdoor sowing at temperatures from +10°C. Alternatively sow indoors to plant out. Will benefit from cold stratification to germinate. Prefers to grow in sunny to semi-shady places.
