A colourful annual with edible flowers and leaves . Trailing mix of bright greenery and different shades of orange, yellow and red coloured flowers. Both leaves and flowers are edible, they taste peppery, hot and sweet.
We love having nasturtium flowers dotted around our land. They attract the bees and just make a beautiful addition in summer salads.
When to sow: March – May
Spacing: 30 x 30cm
Nasturtium tips: Sow 2cm deep from March to May directly where they are to grow in the ground; Nasturtiums will also do well in pots or other containers. Taking off the dead flowers will prolong blooming.
Top tip: the flowers are delicious with a sweet spicy taste and make a wonderful addition to salads or as a general garnish.
