    A hardy, low-growing perennial traditionally used as medicinal herb. Self-Heal is a valuable addition to wildflower meadows, pollinator gardens, and herbal plantings. Producing charming purple-blue flower spikes from late spring to early autumn, it attracts bees and butterflies while providing ground cover with its spreading habit.

    Thriving in a variety of conditions, from grasslands to garden borders, it prefers well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. Traditionally known for its medicinal uses, Self-Heal is both ornamental and beneficial. Easy to grow and drought-tolerant once established, it reaches a height of 6-12 inches. Perfect for naturalised plantings and wildlife-friendly spaces.

    A striking plant with traditional and current uses in herbal medicine for the heart (hence the species name cardiaca), and in women’s health.

    Will grow 60 – 120 cm tall; blooms between July and September. You will find soft pale pink flowers surrounded by prickly spikes on their stems. Harvest the aerial parts when they start to flower. Prefers well drained soil, and sun or part shade.

    A lovely hardy biennial wildflower and herb with lance-shaped leaves and yellow flowers that open in the evening. Loved by bees, butterflies, and moths. The nutrient-rich seeds, which contain gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), are used medicinally, and the leaves and flowers are also edible.

    Evening primrose thrives in full sun in poor, well-drained soils and needs little maintenance once established. As a biennial it will create a rosette of leaves in the first year, and flower in the second year, but self-seeds readily, so will usually appear year on year once established.
