Pale blue, pink and white flowers on upright, bushy plants with feathery foliage. Nigella flowers or ‘love-in-a-mist’ are a popular and traditional cottage garden flower. The blue, pink and white solitary flowers appear to sit on a bed of ‘misty’ foliage, hence the common name. The plants get about 50cm high and the blossom is followed by a decorative, inflated seed capsule that also makes a nice addition to cut flower arrangements.

Dark red almost black velvety blooms on long stems, a favourite in the flower garden.
We were absolutely taken by this elegant flower with dark crimson to burgundy colours, some really going into black with contrasting creamy white stamen. This scabious makes an amazing cut flower and keeps impressing throughout the summer months. Flower heads make way for lovely seed heads with the shape of pin cushions.
Can be used as a dye flower producing over green and blue to purple dyes depending on mordant and modifiers.

A beautiful multi-headed sunflower with blooms of crimson dappled with vanilla. Floris is a really special variety and all of our team are big fans! Each plant makes around eight blooms, reaching about 4-5 feet tall. As the season goes on the blooms show more vanilla colouring and take on a vintage hue.
