A cutting garden staple that produces beautiful ornamental grass heads that resemble soft bunny tails. Bunny Tail Grass is a clump forming variety, producing an abundance of delicate stems from July – September. It’s also a great variety for drying, turning straw-coloured when dried and keeping its softness.

A truly early and abundant hot chilli with good flavour. Plants grow to 60cm high and fruit heavily, with harvesting of typical green Jalapeños beginning in early August, and continuing through into autumn. We thinly slice and preserve ours eating them with Mexican dishes throughout the rest of the year.

A beautiful and deliciously fragrant lupin producing multicoloured blooms of azure blue, white and yellow. We are really wowed by this variety, and frequently stop just to admire it when we walk past it in the field.
The incredibly cheerfully coloured blooms are borne on strong stems making it ideal for cutting as well in the border.

A colourful annual with edible flowers and leaves . Trailing mix of bright greenery and different shades of orange, yellow and red coloured flowers. Both leaves and flowers are edible, they taste peppery, hot and sweet.
We love having nasturtium flowers dotted around our land. They attract the bees and just make a beautiful addition in summer salads.

Large fruits, which remain green when ripe, with attractive yellow striping and excellent taste. In terms of appearance, this does what it says on the tin, but it does it very well. Fruits grow to around 8cm diameter and plants typically produce 6 to 8 fruits per truss. Quite fleshy, with very good taste and looks wonderful with other red and yellow tomatoes on a plate or at market.

A beautiful chard mix of red, pink, orange, yellow and white stalks with contrasting green and maroon leaves. Harvested as baby leaf in less than 6 weeks. Both the tender leaves and stalks are easy to fry, steam, blanch or add to an omelette. This variety of chard is less hardy and doesn’t handle frost as well, so best not relied on as your only winter green.

A famous extra-early variety producing delicious tender spears as early as October . Rudolph is a fantastic variety and we are really happy to be offering it in our catalogue. Our selection was from a huge population we had access to so the genetics are extremely strong.
It is one of the few open-pollinated broccoli varieties which large scale veg growers still use, along side their hybrid counterparts.

Delicious yellow-orange cherry tomato with fruits 2-3cm diameter . Santiam Sunrise is without a doubt one of the tastiest tomatoes we have ever encountered. It is Fred’s all time favourite for flavour. The fruits are 2-3cm across, growing on strong, stocky indeterminate vines.
Originally bred by the great Adaptive Seeds in the US as an open-pollinated alternative to the famous Sungold F1. The flavour is intensely fruity with a delicious zinginess. We recommend growing it under cover for best results. A real winner.

One of the best chillies for growing in the British climate. Long and pointed fruits, starting green and ripening to red.
This is a reliable, quick growing and heavy cropper producing early fruits that continue to appear throughout the season. It’s a a really excellent variety, bearing long pointy peppers in attractive shades of green, yellow, orange and red.
The distinct heat develops alongside the ripening colour, ranging from 1000-15000 scovilles making it a great multi-tasker in the kitchen. Delicious in chilli jam, perfect for pickling and drying as well as for using fresh, the spicy kick of a yellow hotwax stuffed with cream cheese are legendary for summer picnics. It will happily grow on a sunny windowsill, greenhouse or polytunnel. In some areas of the UK you can grow it outside in a sunny sheltered spot.
